ONLY MEN ALOUD STORM PEMBROKE CASTLE THIS SUMMER
Tickets are now on sale (01646695267 and orchardentertainment.co.uk) to see a special performance of the fabulous Classical Brit Award winners Only Men Aloud in the beautiful setting of Pembroke Castle on July 5.
The Pembroke Castle concert follows a 28 date tour of Wales, England and Scotland by the eight-man line-up in the spring. The men are also busy in the coming weeks raising money for Shelter Cymru by cycling from Cardiff to Paris to arrive on the pitch at Stade De France to sing Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau before the France v Wales 6 Nations game on February 28.
Announcing the Only Men Aloud spring tour, choir founder and Music Director Tim Rhys Evans said: “We’re so excited to play the magnificent Pembroke Castle for the first time this summer. After an extensive UK tour this spring, we will be at the top of our game come the summer, and eager to showcase material from the new album, and some familiar favourites to our wonderful fans down in west Wales. We’ll also have some special guests. It’s going to be memorable!”
Over the years the hugely popular vocal group has built up a strong fan base across the country, and the Pembroke Castle audience will be eager to see the new generation eight man line-up of OMA performing songs from their new album, their fifth studio recording, which will be released in the summer.
After 13 years and some incredible experiences – from winning BBC’s Last Choir Standing and the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special to scooping a Classical Brit Album of the Year Award and performing to a global TV audience as the Cauldron was lit at the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics, Only Men Aloud has undergone a regeneration with a fresh line-up and a new, more individual style that suits their personalities - but with the same popular appeal that has wowed fans across the country.
