Biography
David Fortey - First Tenor
David has been a member of OMA since 2001 and has enjoyed being part of the group from its early years as an emerging Male voice choir, to its current form as one of the leading Male vocal ensembles in the world.
After graduating from the Royal Welsh College or Music and Drama in 2004, and having spent time performing with Glyndebourne Opera, Garsington Opera, and most recently Swansea City Opera; David has enjoyed spending the vast majority of his professional career to date working with OMA and has made lasting friendships and memories every step of the way!
As well as still being an active performer, David now spends time each week working as a music and singing teacher across South Wales helping to mentor and inspire the next generation of young singers. When time allows he also enjoys singing alongside his wife Angharad as part of their vocal duo, 'Cantare'.
