Biography
Niall Allen - Baritone
Niall Allen is a 23 year old baritone who joined the choir in October 2009 after completing a degree in European Politics and International Relations at Cardiff University. Born in Cardiff, Niall sights his time at Whitchurch High School as when he first discovered a passion for singing having been persuaded to take a chorus part in a production of South Pacific.
Alongside his performance engagements with the choir, Niall is an Only Boys Aloud Team Captain as well as coordinating a lot of OMA’s school based work through their Only Kids Aloud projects.
Away from the choir, Niall’s other passion in life is sport. He currently holds a golf handicap of 5 and as a youngster he captained the Glamorgan cricket side, played rugby for Cardiff Schools and was county champion at both triple jump and steeplechase. However, a career on the stage has curtailed his playing days and he can now usually be found watching Crystal Palace or the Cardiff Blues.
