27 Sep 2012

Aloud at Christmas adds another date, and invites the kids along!

Aloud At Christmas, the festive treat combining the popularity of both Only Men Aloud and Only Boys Aloud has added another date at the Wales Millennium Centre on December 30 due to popular demand, and invited Only Kids Aloud to take part in their Cardiff and Llandudno concerts.

Tickets for the Aloud at Christmas Wales Millennium Centre concert on Christmas Eve have already sold out, and so fans of Classical Brit Award winners Only Men Aloud and Britain’s Got Talent finalists Only Boys Aloud will now have the chance to catch them after Christmas on the 30th (tickets on sale Friday Sep 28 from www.orchardentertainment.co.uk / www.wmc.org.uk 02920 636464).

The added attraction will be the Wales Millennium Centre / Only Kids Aloud Chorus, who will perform at all of the Christmas shows, including the December 22nd date at Venue Cymru.

Aloud Music Director Tim Rhys Evans said: “It’s lovely that we’re adding more shows due to public demand, and that all three Aloud choirs will take to the stage over Christmas to entertain our fans. These will be special shows, and we can’t wait for them.”

Who are Only Men Aloud?

Only Men Aloud were formed in 2000. The group's aim was to inject some new blood into the Welsh male choir tradition. The group's repertoire is varied and eclectic, from Welsh folksongs and hymns to musicals and opera, from barbershop and swing to pop.

The choir won The BBC's Last Choir Standing in the summer of 2008, and released their debut album shortly afterwards, which went gold in the UK.
